I have been a Bates County resident for since 2004 and absolutely love this area. In May of 2007 I got married, Jeremy, and we live in Ballard with his daughter, Kylee. My family moved to Bates County Missouri in 1990. My wife Kathy and I have been blessed with four children. We maintain a small cattle herd on the farm near Amsterdam. Our family roots go back to pre-civil War days when my great-great-grandfather, Reverend A.H. Lewis moved to Bates County from Culpepper County, Virginia I served in the US Air Force from 1972-1976. I have also served as a pastor of bi-vocational churches in Oklahoma and Missouri. I have earned degrees in education and theology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Baptist Theologicial Serminary, respectively.
